This concept can be applied to workgroups, relationships, organizations,\u00a0the key elements of a project,\u00a0 the choices for a decision, or the parts of our inner world.<\/p>\n<h3>Constellations as a Language<\/h3>\n<p>Constellations are a versatile &#8220;language&#8221; that can be used in multiple contexts. Just like English, which can be used to write poetry, narrative, science, or history, Constellations are a basic common language that is then integrated with technical jargon and specific skills, depending on the area of application.<\/p>\n<p>At the SystemAlive Coaching Academy, we teach this basic language and the skills necessary to apply Constellations in coaching.<\/p>\n<h3>Brief History of Constellations<\/h3>\n<p>Constellations are a relatively recent methodology that emerged in the 1990s. Here are the main milestones in their evolution:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Bert Hellinger<\/em> created Family Constellations, focusing on family systems and harmonizing relationships with ancestors.<\/li>\n<li><em>Gunthard Weber<\/em> introduced Organizational Constellations, applying them to business roles and aspects.<\/li>\n<li><em>Insa Sparrer and Matthias Varga von Kib\u00e9d <\/em>developed Structural Constellations, extending the use to various systems, both external (projects, enterprises) and internal (values, resources).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Subsequently, other applications emerged, such as Business Constellations, Work Constellations, Shamanic Constellations, and many others.<\/p>\n<h3>Applications of Constellations in Coaching<\/h3>\n<p>Constellations in Coaching are not limited to specific contexts like organizations, business, management, or work. They can be used for any theme in both Business and Life Coaching, offering a pragmatic and concrete approach with clear boundaries between this type of work and applications in family therapy.<\/p>\n<p>Constellations are a methodology that helps clients \u2013 individually, in teams, or groups \u2013 gain greater awareness of their current situation, fostering inner alignment and opening the way for change.<\/p>\n<p>When using Constellations in a coaching session, we propose to the client an experiential exercise. We create a spatial representation of the key elements of the client&#8217;s issue. In individual coaching, we use objects on a table or spaceholders on the floor. In group or team coaching, we can use the people present.<\/p>\n<p>This representation allows the client to explore each element, not only through cognitive reflections but also through the embodyment, connecting to emotions and physical sensations.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of the topic, Constellations are effective in developing Self-Leadership, enhancing self-awareness, and promoting greater harmony both internally and externally.<\/p>\n<h3>How They Work in Individual Coaching<\/h3>\n<p>The Constellation process in individual coaching is divided into four main phases:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Identification of Key Elements<\/strong>: A conversation between coach and client to identify the key elements of the client&#8217;s situation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mapping the Situation<\/strong>: The client creates a spatial representation of these elements.
